How to Run a Weekly Emotion Review

Review one week of entries to find repeated emotional patterns.

Daily logging captures moments. Weekly review reveals structure. The useful question is not “How did I feel?” but “When does this keep happening?”

1. Find the repeated emotions

Start with the one or two feelings that showed up the most over the week.

2. Look for shared context

Check whether those emotions cluster around people, places, times, or recurring topics.

3. Set one experiment for next week

Choose one small behavior change to test against that pattern.

Prompts to try now

  • Which emotions repeated most this week?
  • What context kept showing up with them?
  • What small experiment should I run next week?
